KUPL’s Beach Trip a Day in MayMay 1, 2008 to May 31, 2008
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HOW TO ENTER
a. The “KUPL’s Beach Trip a Day in May” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on May 1, 2008 at 7:20am Pacific Time and end on May 31, 2008 at 7:00pm Pacific Time (the “Contest Period”).
b. To participate in the Contest, you may enter via the following method: Listen each weekday morning during the Contest Period at 7:20am for the Morning Show to announce the “Song of the Day”. The “Song of the Day” will play only one time each day. When the “Song of the Day” plays, be caller number 9 to the KUPL Contest Line [503-733-5000] to win a beach trip from Oregon Beach Vacations (upon confirmation of contest eligibility).
c. KUPL (the “Station”) is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.
d. Listeners can call as often as they like to attempt to win, but a listener can win only one time during the Contest Period.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The Contest is open to all persons who are twenty-five (25) years of age or older and legally reside in Oregon and SW Washington. Employees of KUPL, its licensee, CBS Radio Portland, its parent corporation, CBS Corporation, their affiliated entities, advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Portland metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Listeners are eligible to win a KUPL contest only once every thirty (30) days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months.
c. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest.
d. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. PRIZES
a. Twenty-two (22) prizes will be awarded. The prize is a gift certificate for two nights at a Oregon Beach Vacation property. Winner may use the gift certificate to book a beach house property owned or managed by Oregon Beach Vacations. All fees, taxes or costs that exceed the amount of the certificates are the responsibility of winner. Winners will be subject to the terms and conditions of the prize certificate as specified by its issuer. Terms and conditions of certificates: Property selection is subject to availability. Please contact Oregon Beach Vacations with your desired dates of travel and size of party to obtain available options. Black out dates are June 15th thru Sept 15th and all major holidays. Certificate is not redeemable for cash. Only one certificate per booking. Certificate must have River City Travel stamp to be valid. This certificate does not include (non refundable) cleaning fee or reservation fee and (refundable) security deposit if applicable to the home selected; the certificate bearer must pay the fees at the time of making the reservation.
b. All prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. One winner will be chosen each weekday in May 2008 in the manner described in Section 1 of these rules.
c. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER AND ORDER OF PHONE CALLS RECEIVED.
d. Winner must listen to Win. Winners will be notified of the prize on-air upon being the correct numbered caller.
e. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the Contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.
d. The Station, in is sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Station’s Web Site or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
f. Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, solely at the discretion of the Station.
g. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
h. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of 98.7 KUPL, 222 SW Columbia, Suite 350, Portland OR 97201. |
