 Rick "Bubba" Taylor, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm on 98.7 KUPL.
I started at age 14 at KBPS (Benson High School) and 62-KGW, moved to 97 KPAM to fill the full-time evening slot at 17 for the next two years, sold advertising for 6 months after that and hated wearing a suit, so went back on the air at 1190 KEX for 9 months and eventually wound up doing country music during the Urban Cowboy era 27 years ago with most of my years spent at 98.7 KUPL.
Things you don't know about me:
1. I've grown up in the music industry and love all types of music, but my favorite sound is silence or nature, I love the sound of the ocean and the great outdoors.
2. I'm a momma's boy, I never knew my father and my mother raised 6 children on her own, she's taught me so many great values from working hard to respecting others, she had no choice but to raise all the kids on her own and that's why she is my hero! I feel that all things happen for a reason and feel that not having a father and such a awesome mother is why I'm a great dad myself, this is what I'm most proud of in my life.
3. I've almost drown three times in my life, but still love the water, the difference now is that I respect the water and all it's power. Learning how to scuba dive with currents helped me get back in the water again and get back up on the horse so to speak.
